Croft Veterinary Practice offers a full specialised canine reproduction service. Our team of fully qualified veterinary surgeons with an interest in canine reproduction is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to meet all your dog breeding requirements.

Meet the Team Our Canine Reproduction Team is headed by Louise McLean, a veterinary surgeon with many years experience of small animal veterinary practice, and a particular interest in endocrinology and reproduction. Louise has studied canine reproduction in the United States and has now brought the very best of techniques back to the UK

Health Testing Day (published: 11-01-2011)

Three times a year we organise Health testing days for Breeders the next one is planned for 28th November 2011 at Croft Animal Hospital, Cramlington, Northumberland NE23 7RJ.

BVA/KC Eye Test with Malcolm Davison MRCVS
Cost £32. It will also be possible for Hips and Elbows to be X-rayed for submission to BVA Schemes Cost £219  inc vat + BVA FEES.
Microchipping is also available at £12.13 + VAT.
DNA testing has been simpified and is cheaper as IDEXX tests are now accepted by the Kennel Club.
Blood sampling for DNA schemes is possible to Optigen via Idexx at £71.46 + vat including blood sampling.

If dogs are brought to Croft we are happy to check microchips and witness paperwork and do take either swabs or bloods.
