Management of Oestrus Cycle

Vaginal Cytology

Vaginal smears for cytological evaluation help not only to determine when to inseminate but to make sure no infectious or inflammatory process is going on that needs to be addressed. Vaginal cytology may also indicate if there are hormonal abnormalities in the oestrus cycle e.g. if ovarian cysts are present.
